RATAPLAN, a Viennese bureau of architects has learned of our longings for the market and has taken the initiative to make a draft on how to green the market. It is an illustration on how the place can be cooled down by 10 (!) degrees Ceslius (perceived temperature), provided with free seatings, and gets a touch of a flying light-garden in winter; without interference with the existing structures of the market. Students and teachers of the Sperlgymnasium high school can pass their breaks at the market, families with their children can meet up, and above all also the elderly can cool down, and have a relieving breath at the free seatings. The RATAPLAN architects call their project “Flying Gardens for the Karmelitermarkt“. Simply have a look at the pictures.
